UHSM Academy Library is currently hosting a trial of MedHand for all staff and learners across UHSM. The trial will run until the end of December 2016.

What is it?
MedHand is an app which provides quick and easy access to quality healthcare information resources in the palm of your hand. Through MedHand you can access a wide range of trusted e-books, such as the Oxford Handbooks, e-resources like the BNF and BNFC, and built-in calculators and dictionaries. As MedHand allows you to download your chosen resources to your mobile device, you can access quality clinical information offline and at point of care.
Who can use it?
All staff and learners based at UHSM can register for a trial account. MedHand holds a selection of resources which are suitable for nurses, doctors, dentists and AHPs.
Where can I get it?
The app is available for download from Google Play or Apple App Store. You can also create and manage your account online via the MedHand website.

Do you need a literature search?
The Academy Library will do your literature search for you within 48 hours of receipt. The service is free and is available to all clinical and non-clinical staff at UHSM.
